2310C-1692 – Overdose
On October 12, 2023 at approximately 1240 hours, Cathedral City Police Officers were dispatched to the Palm Springs Cemetery. The Cathedral City Fire Department was dispatched to the location regarding two subjects suffering an apparent overdose. As Cathedral City Officers were responding, dispatchers were informed there was a possible third overdose victim.

On August 28, 2023, at approximately 3:15 AM, Cathedral City Police Department (CCPD) officers were dispatched to the area of Cathedral Canyon, south of Dinah Shore regarding a traffic collision involving a vehicle versus a bicyclist. Upon arrival, officers located the bicyclist, an adult male lying in the roadway with severe injuries. The male subject was unresponsive. Cathedral City Fire Department responded to the scene, provided aid and transported him to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.

On August 6, 2023, at approximately 2331 hours, Cathedral City Police responded to 32400 Date Palm Dr., (Applebee’s Grill & Bar) regarding a fight involving numerous subjects inside the business. During the altercation, one subject pulled out a firearm and shot the victim. Officers arrived and located the male victim inside the business. Cathedral City Fire Department responded and transported the victim to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The scene was secured, and CCPD Detectives assumed the investigation. Several interviews were conducted, and the area was canvassed. Search warrants were authored, and Detectives worked several leads.

On Wednesday 03/28/2018 at approximately 2145 hours, officers were dispatched to the 31000 block of Whispering Palms Trail reference a gun shot victim. CCFD arrived on scene and transported the victim who later succumbed to his injuries. CCPD Detectives responded to the scene and began their investigation. Detectives canvassed the area, processed the crime scene, and worked numerous leads. Video surveillance from the surrounding area showed the suspect vehicle pulled up to the victim’s home, the passenger door opened, and the suspect exited the vehicle and walked towards the victim. The suspect is later seen running away from the residence towards the awaiting suspect vehicle that was parked at the intersection. The suspect vehicle fled the scene at a high rate of speed. The case remained active as no arrests were made.
