On Monday, October 31, 2022, at approximately 10:24 PM, Cathedral City Police were dispatched to the Pickfair Apartments regarding a death investigation. Cathedral City Fire Department was already on scene. CCFD responded to a medical aid at the location. On their arrival, they located an adult male deceased on his bed with obvious trauma to his head/neck area. Officers arrived on scene, confirming suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

Police arrived and located shell casings in the vicinity of the intersection. A bystander’s car was struck by gunfire. The bystander was not injured. The suspect and victim fled the scene in their cars before police arrived.
