Cathedral City Police Officers and Firefighters Raised $2,000 for the American Cancer Society on Saturday evening entitled, “Battle of the Badges Softball Game”, the Cathedral City Police Officers and Firefighters competed against each other in a charity softball game on Saturday at Big League Dreams Sports Park in Cathedral City. The softball game raised $2,000 for the American Cancer Society – Relay for Life campaign thanks to the generosity of the public servants and the community at large.
Besides raising the needed resources, the Police Officers and Firefighters went on KMIR’s morning show on Friday to raise awareness of the need to find a cure and they received great coverage for the event.
Side note: the Police Officers are recovering from the game loss as the Firefighters smoked them in a 26 to 9 final score.
