On Thursday March 9, 2023, at approximately 0700 hours, Cathedral City Detectives executed a search warrant in the 28000 block of Landau Blvd. in the City of Cathedral City. The warrant was regarding a past assault and robbery that occurred at the Cimmaron Golf course and the Desert Princess Community clubhouse. Cove Burglaries
On Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at approximately 0930 hours, Cathedral City Detectives executed a search warrant in the 68500 block of ‘C’ Street in the City of Cathedral City. The warrant was regarding an increase in residential burglaries in the Cove area. Assault with a Deadly Weapon CCPD Case # 2211C-6704
On Monday, November 28, 2022, at approximately 6:54 PM, Cathedral City Police Dispatch received 911 telephone calls reporting gunfire in the area. Dispatch received a 911 call shortly after from a female adult stating her son was shot. The female said she was taking her son to a local hospital, refusing to wait for medics. CCPD Officers responded to the scene of the crime, set up a perimeter and conducted an investigation. A CCPD Officer drove to the hospital and met with the male adult victim as he arrived at the hospital. The victim sustained three non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The victim provided a preliminary statement before undergoing surgery. This investigation is ongoing. Continue reading→
Assault with a deadly weapon CCPD Case # 2211C-4416
On November 18, 2022, at approximately 1939 hours, Cathedral City Police officers responded to a report of a person struck by gunfire in the area of Pauline Avenue/Vega Road. Officers arrived and located a male suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to the leg and upper shoulder. The victim stated he was riding his bicycle when a brown sedan stopped, and the vehicle's passenger leaned out the window, fired several rounds at the victim, and fled the area. Officers canvased the area and found several shell casings. The victim was transported to a hospital with two gunshot wounds and was last listed in stable condition. Continue reading→
Homicide Investigation CCPD Case # 2210C-7603
On Monday, October 31, 2022, at approximately 10:24 PM, Cathedral City Police were dispatched to the Pickfair Apartments regarding a death investigation. Cathedral City Fire Department was already on scene. CCFD responded to a medical aid at the location. On their arrival, they located an adult male deceased on his bed with obvious trauma to his head/neck area. Officers arrived on scene, confirming suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
