Elder Abuse, Assault with a Deadly Weapon / Case #2203C-0546

On March 3, 2022, at approximately 0145 hours, Cathedral City Police Dispatch received a 911 telephone call of an assault in progress located in the 67500 block of Quijo Rd, Cathedral City. Once Officers arrived on scene, they were able to safely remove two elderly victims from the inside of the residence. Cathedral City Fire Department responded to the scene and transported one of the victims to an area hospital where they are being treated for multiple injuries. Continue reading

Assault with a Deadly Weapon case # 2201C-5210

On January 24, 2022, at approximately 1811 hours, Cathedral City Police Department (CCPD) officers were dispatched to the Stater Bros. market parking lot regarding a shooting that just occurred between two vehicles. Officers arrived in the area and located one adult male victim. The victim was transported to a local hospital by Cathedral City Fire Department Paramedics with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The investigation is currently underway and no additional information will be provided. Continue reading

DUI Checkpoint Results

On December 18th, 2021, between the hours of 7:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m. the Cathedral City Police Department conducted a DUI/Driver’s License Checkpoint at Date Palm Drive & Victoria Drive. During the course of the checkpoint, 813 vehicles passed through the location, with 162 drivers screened; 9 citations were issued, and one driver was arrested for driving under the influence.
