Assault with a Deadly Weapon / Case #2101C-6971
On January 27, 2021 at about 5:30a.m. Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, responded to Eisenhower Medical Center regarding a shooting victim who had been dropped off at the emergency room. During their initial investigation they determined a shooting had taken place in the 69800 block of Sunny Lane, Cathedral City.

On December 2, 2020, at approximately 1320 hours, Cathedral City Police Dispatch received 911 telephone calls reporting gunfire heard in the area of Ramon Rd/ Landau Blvd. Police were dispatched and arrived within minutes of the initial call. Police located evidence of a shooting between at least two adult males along the north side of the Ramon Rd. at Avenida La Paloma.

On August 9, 2020, at approximately 2119 hours, Cathedral City Police Department (CCPD) officers were dispatched to the area of 68500 McCallum Road regarding numerous reports of shots being fired in the area. One witness informed CCPD that the suspect was firing a shotgun over residential rooftops. Officers arrived on scene and through witness accounts and their initial investigation, discovered the gunfire came from a residence in the 68500 block of McCallum Road. Officers surrounded the residence and made numerous loudspeaker announcements requesting the suspect exit the residence. The suspect refused to exit the residence and barricaded inside.

On April 4, 2020, at approx. 1945 hours, Cathedral City Police Department (CCPD) officers were dispatched to the area of Avenida Juarez and McCallum Way regarding multiple gunshots heard in the area. A short period of time later, officers were dispatched to a second call in the area – a traffic collision involving a vehicle that ran off of the roadway and collided with a tree in the area of McCallum Way and Avenida Alvera. At the traffic collision scene, officers discovered a male inside of the vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers and Cathedral City Fire paramedics arrived and attempted life-saving efforts. Unfortunately, the male succumbed to his wounds at the scene and was pronounced deceased. CCPD detectives arrived and initiated a homicide investigation.

On March 23, 2020, at approximately 1844 hours, Cathedral City Police Dispatch received 911 telephone calls reporting gunfire heard in the area of Avenida La Vista and Tortuga Road (located in the in the Panorama residential neighborhood of Cathedral City). Police were dispatched and arrived at a residence in the 29000 block of Avenida La Vista at 1850 hours. Inside the home, Police located at least one adult male and one juvenile gunshot victim that required medical care. Cathedral City Police Paramedics arrived to treat the gunshot victims and handled the medical transport of the juvenile.

On October 4, 2019, at approximately 2315 hours, Cathedral City Police Dispatch received multiple 911 telephone calls reporting gunshots in the 32500 Block of Navajo Trail, Cathedral City. More calls to the police were received at 2316 reporting a shooting incident at that location. Cathedral City Police responded to the area (arriving at 2320 hours) and found two adult males on a residential sidewalk, suffering from an unknown number of gunshot wounds. Cathedral City Fire Department Paramedics responded to assist, began emergency-medical treatment and transported both shooting victims to Desert Regional Medical Center (DRMC). Unfortunately, one of the victims has succumbed to his injuries at the hospital and has been pronounced deceased.

Cathedral City Police responded to the area (arriving at 0036 hours) and found an adult male suffering from an unknown number of gunshots to his body. Cathedral City Fire Department Paramedics responded to assist, began emergency-medical treatment and transported the victim to Desert Regional Medical Center (DRMC). Unfortunately, the male succumbed to his injuries at the hospital and was pronounced deceased.
