Suicide Investigation 2204-1515
On April 6, 2022, at about 8:06 PM, the Cathedral City Fire Department responded to a residence in the 28800 block of Avenida La Vista regarding a residential fire alarm. Other nearby residences also began calling regarding smoke seen coming from the residence. Continue reading→
Homicide Investigation – Case 2203C-6060 update
On March 24, 2022, at approximately 1644 hours, Daniel Morales Jr. 29 YO, resident of Cathedral City, was arrested in connection with the murder of Juan Gonzalez. Morales was arraigned on Monday, March 28, 2022, on charges of Murder, Street gang-violent felony, Discharge of firearm from a vehicle, Association w/criminal street gang, Discharge of firearm causing great bodily injury. Homicide Investigation – Case 2203C-6060
On March 24, 2022, at about 3:28 p.m. CCPD received multiple calls regarding a shooting that occurred near the intersection of Shifting Sands Trail & Mission Indian Trail in Cathedral City. One reporting party told dispatch one male subject had been struck by gunfire. Continue reading→
Shooting Investigation
On March 4, 2022, at about 8:53 PM, Cathedral City Police Officers responded to the area of Date Palm Drive and Adelina Road regarding a shooting. Several callers called 911 saying they heard multiple gunshots in the area. Continue reading→
Overdose – Case #2203C-0839
On March 4, 2022, at about 6:21 a.m. CCFD received a call of a male laying on the ground next to a vehicle, unknown if they were breathing. CCFD arrived and located the male subject laying in the parking lot in medical distress. CCFD then located a second male inside a vehicle, also in medical distress. Both males displayed symptoms of opioid overdose. CCFD then located a third male at the top of a staircase landing, near the first two males, deceased. Traffic Collision / Assault with a Deadly Weapon
On March 4, 2022 at about 1:50PM, Cathedral City Police Officers responded to the area of Varner Road, West of Bob Hope Drive regarding a single vehicle rollover. Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle that had overturned and a female driver who had been ejected from the vehicle on the ground. The female was suffering from moderate injuries.
